The Story of (Villa)Tita
Villa Tita was built in 1997 by Dr. Teresa Cardoso — affectionately known as "Tita" — an anesthesiologist from Lisbon who found in Sesimbra her chosen refuge.
With dedication, care and a very personal vision, she conceived this space as a family meeting point, designed to welcome children and grandchildren, where holidays and weekends were transformed into moments of sharing, togetherness and tranquility.
Over the years, the house became the setting for memories, stories and gatherings that marked generations. As time went by, and as the demands of life made her presence increasingly distant, the opportunity arose to open this space to new experiences.
Today, Villa Tita preserves its original essence, welcoming those who seek more than just a stay — a place with history, soul and identity. A space where other families can create their own memories, continuing a legacy built over decades.
Its gardens, carefully shaped over the years, reflect this dedication. Trees and plants that have grown with the house now create a unique setting, where nature, silence and privacy define the experience.
More than a house, Villa Tita is the expression of a vision — of comfort, elegance and authenticity.
A place where everything converges into a single word: family.
